Television Remote Control (1995)

This innovation remote was created by TIM THOM, the team of designers who worked under the art direction of Philippe Starck during the 90s. At the beginning, it was developed specifically for Nordmende TV sets. Afterwards, it was used by several other brands of Thomson Group for many years.

Its eccentric design with a narrow shape was reminiscent of an ancient scroll or a scepter with its way to hold it.

Combined with an innovative user interface inside the TV, its prominent features were to be easy to use, making the remote control one of the most ergonomic devices for interfacing and adjusting the TV remotely.
